Pukenui Lodge is located on State Highway 4 at the very heart of the National Park Village and has one of the best views of the Whakapapa ski fields.

The Lodge offers a true 'home from home stay' and is centrally heated throughout the whole of the lodge, offering one of the warmest accommodations in the Tongariro region. Whether you are skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer, Pukenui Lodge provides a central location for easy access to Mount Ruapehu and the activities on offer from the beautiful Tongariro National Park.

Pukenui Lodge has a wide range of accommodation from en-suite rooms with interconnecting rooms for families, to standard rooms sleeping up to 4 people with communal facilities within the lodge.

The Lodge is owned and run by Chris Gebbie who was the first person in the Southern Hemisphere to exceed 230km/hr on skis. Chris recorded a speed of 232.860km/hr on the final day of the Mondial 2005 Pro Championships at Les Arc, France. Chris has a vast knowledge of the activities available in the National Park, both winter and summer, and is pretty much known by everyone in the area.
